Recruitment - Service Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to join the team at Glenford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our workshop and service department, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient workshop performance, and high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the service and workshop department.
• Lead, support, and motivate technicians and workshop staff.
• Allocate and monitor work to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Deal with customer enquiries, quotations, complaints, and technical issues professionally.
• Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and performance.
• Ensure vehicles are repaired safely and in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Carry out quality control checks and ensure vehicles are ready for collection on time.
• Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and relevant paperwork.

About You: We are looking for someone who...

• Has previous experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar automotive role.
• Has strong knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Is confident managing and motivating a team.
• Has excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Is organised, commercially aware and able to prioritise workloads.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.
